a year ago today I finalized one of the best decisions of my life. it took too long for me to do, but I’m so glad I did. while it may seem callous, I will never be able to thoroughly explain the relief and weight that lifted from my shoulders that day. I celebrate today because it was the day I learned that I didn’t need someone to make me amazing, I didn’t need someone to tell me what to do or think, and I’ll never have to feel that way again.
